![]() ![]() Warm is very subjective but I will say that this jacket has a very good loft and good compressibility and the cut is good for layering without compressing the cloth you have underneath it. Got this jacket at 50% off so I can live with an inconvenient set of zippers. I once spent 2 minutes straight with no gloves on and still couldn't even zip the main zipper up. The zippers are extremely hard to use but are actually from YKK and looks decently weather resistant. usually in between S and M but for Nilas S fits me perfectly (Layer1: T shirt L2: long sleeve, Layer3: proton LT synthetic insulation, Layer 4: beta AR shell, Layer 5: Nilas). This is the best winter jacket I have owned, and the large fits my 6' 3" 195 lb frame perfectly. It's possible they replaced the zipper since the reviews, but I don't thinks so, still the gray YKK, and it works just fine. I never, never write reviews but felt I had to for the jacket quality and to address the zipper. No snagging, no sticking, no problem getting it zipped or unzipped. I sincerely don't know what anyone is talking about, I specifically tried the zipper 30 times right away because of the reviews, zero issues at all. But most importantly, based on the only negative reviews I've seen, the zipper is not an issue AT ALL. I bought last year's model at half the cost, so you just can't beat the price. The fit was better, it looks good, side pockets where they should be, and very cleary the warmest Jacket I have owned. The minute I tried The Nilas Jacket on I knew it was infinitely better. Just got this jacket after returning The North Face Himalayan Down Jacket because it was to puffy and had no side pockets. ![]()
